Built By Everyone
A free multiplayer 3D world for the browser and VR, designed by the people who play it.
What it is
Built By Everyone is a shared world you open in a web browser or on a Meta Quest headset. There is nothing to install and no account to make. You arrive on a fenced lawn with a road out front and a fully furnished two-storey house with a porch and a basement, and you share it with everyone else who is online.
What you can do
- Walk through every room: living room, kitchen, office, bedrooms, bathrooms, the basement rec room and more.
- Pick up and move objects such as mugs, books and pool balls. Open doors, switch lights, light the fireplace.
- Chat with everyone online, with spam and slur filtering.
- Hear birds and wind outside, and your own footsteps on wood, tile and carpet inside.
The players design it
Anyone can suggest a change or report a bug from inside the world, and point at the exact object it is about. Public notes go up on a corkboard in the front hall, where everyone can see what is outstanding and what is done. The game is built from those notes, and the updates ship regularly. Leave an email if you want to hear when your idea goes live.
